If you are the boat

on the journey to

Somewhere

And I am not

your passenger

And not the

sea that carries you

And not the

lighthouse that

shows you the way

And not the

helm that holds

you on course

And if I am not

the harbour at the

end of your journey

Then please

Let me be the rail

you can hold on to

The drop of rain

that soothes your thirst

The seagull

which will show you the nearness

of land

The sail

to give you the energy

And if you are the boat

on the journey to

Somewhere

And I am not the harbour

at the end of your journey

Then I want to be but

a small part of your route

I don´t ask for more.

Happiness is a long way through everblossoming roses

of what will be left a bed of thorns and it can only be the memory

of a shared way of happiness that may heal the wound ... some day.
